What To Expect From Elex Show: The Electricians’ Exhibition

Whether you are an established electrician or are trying to break into the industry, it is worth going to the Elex Show: The Electricians’ Exhibition

The trade event will take place at Bolton Arena on March 21st and 22nd, and attendees can expect to see exhibitions from an array of big names, from Stanley to Milwaukee.

During the two-day spectacle, there will be live demonstrations and seminars. It will also present an opportunity for people to try different products before investing in them, seeing the latest technological innovations, speaking directly to the manufacturers, gaining industry knowledge, and networking with other trades.

There will also be plenty of freebies, and a chance to win in exclusive competitions and giveaways.

As well as these great reasons to attend, the free event also includes free parking, and a T-shirt or bacon roll at no cost. However, these are only available while stocks last, which gives visitors an incentive to arrive early for a whole day of electrician-related learning.

Among the things professionals can educate themselves on are solar panel design considerations, tips for successful electrical vehicle charging point fittings, and making additions and alterations to an existing installation.

The seminars, which are all Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited, will also include keeping up to date with building regulations and the importance of fire-rated downlights, as well as masterclasses on consumer units.

After the workshop, attendees can obtain their CPD certificate by scanning a QR code from the seminar. This accreditation will improve their credibility and demonstrates willingness to continually enhance their skills.

Tickets for the show are valid for both days of the exhibition, giving everyone the chance to take in as many seminars as possible and go around the different trade stalls.

Apprentices and students are also allowed to attend, as long as they are with their trade employer. This will give them the opportunity to learn more about the industry and the different techniques, trades, and products involved in it.

Other Elex events will be taking place around the country for those unable to attend the forthcoming exhibition in Bolton. This includes two-day shows in Westpoint, Exeter in April, the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate in May, CBS Arena in Coventry in September, and Sandown Park in Surrey in November.

Alexandra Palace will also host the exhibition in London prior to the Bolton event, with the trade show happening on February 29th and March 1st 2024.

Although visiting industry exhibitions such as this is a great way to gain accreditations and learn more about the electrical business, it is also important to improve your professional development through more traditional further education.

Attending an electrical vehicle charging course or a fire alarm program, for instance, will add another string to your bow as an electrician, widening your customer base by being able to provide a greater number of services.
