The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations course is based around the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671. These Regulations have recently been updated, and a new 18th Edition published on 28th March 2022; its official title is now BS7671:2018+A2:2022, or AMD2 to its friends.
This update course is perfect for those who are already familiar with the 18th Edition and now want to bring their knowledge up to speed with the latest Amendment.
As part of the course, our tutors will show you how to navigate the updated 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. They will also take you through the new additions and key amendments plus how to interpret them so that you can put them into practice in the real world.
This is a one-day course with an Erudite awarded Certificate of Completion for your Continued Professional Development.
Alternatively, you may choose to undertake the optional City & Guilds 2382-22 examination (at an additional cost, see below) which is a two-hour, 60-question multiple-choice exam that must be successfully completed to gain certification. This exam will be arranged with you to take place at a later date. Please be aware the 2382-22 exam covers all of BS 7671, not just the amendments.
** With the addition of the optional 2382-22 City & Guilds examination and certificate, the total cost is £155+VAT – this includes the Awarding Body registration fees together with the exam fees for your first exam attempt. Exam resit fees will apply **
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and BSI have released a new Corrigendum for the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018+A2:2022).
Erudite Training appreciates the amendments and clarifications introduced in the Corrigendum, as they provide better understanding of the requirements outlined in the 18th Edition (BS 7671:2018+A2:2022) and the underlying intentions of the Regulations.
The Corrigendum brings modifications to various sections of BS 7671 and has an immediate effective date. You can obtain a free download of the Corrigendum from the IET and BSI by clicking here.
You will have already achieved a 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification, or have at least an equivalent understanding of the BS7671:2018.
Please contact us if you are unable to find a suitable date, or if you require pricing for multiple candidates and/or onsite training.
We have taken care to ensure candidates can take holidays whilst on our Weekend and Evening Courses due to the long-term, regular nature of classroom sessions in this format.
