The Electrotechnical in Dwellings Experienced Worker Qualification is for practicing electricians with more than 3 years on site experience as well as relevant technical knowledge to Level 3.
Before you get started, we will invite you to an Introduction session to explain everything involved with the qualification and to undertake a skills-scan so that you can be certain this is the right next step for you before enrolling with us.
The assessments involve an assessor visiting you on-site on several occasions usually over a minimum period of six months (maximum of 18 months) to collect evidence in the form of photographs, video evidence, expert witness testimony and records of professional discussions.
You need to demonstrate a range of work on each occasion to cover all aspects of the Experienced Worker requirements.
Both you and the assessor will need to perform written records of your work and present this in a completed portfolio of evidence, demonstrating your competency in the workplace.
Once you have completed your portfolio, your final hurdle will be undertaking the AM2ED at a Net centre, allowing JIB to recognise you as fully qualified and satisfying the requirements for a JIB gold card.
Is this the right next step for me?
If you have been working in the industry as a practicing electrician for more than 3 years and you possess a Level 2 Diploma qualification in Electrical Installations* and want to continue to work in Dwellings only, then the Electrotechnical in Dwellings Experienced Worker qualification, course code 610/2859/9, is likely to be the one for you. Our Experienced Worker assessor can discuss this with you before you enrol.
Important to note:
